Germany team take tube to Wembley
England’s star players might have a reputation for being prima donnas but that’s not an accusation you could ever level at their opponents on Tuesday night, Germany.
Remarkably, in an age when millionaire footballers are flown round the globe in private jets and driven around by chauffeurs, Germany coach Joachim Loew took his squad on the tube on Monday.
Bemused commuters spotted Loew and his players as they jumped on the underground to make their way up to Wembley for a training session at the national stadium.
Let’s just hope the refreshingly down-to-earth Germans didn’t stand on the left side of the escalator - a pet peeve of furious London commuters…
The German team’s official Twitter account posted the best photo of the tube trip. (http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs/the-rio-report/germany-squad-tube-wembley-224306176.html)
Who said we aren’t efficient?
where I’m in the mood for dressing British. I don’t know how to explain that but the Brits have a certain style about them which I connect with autumn/winter whereas when we get to spring/summer I’m feeling more French in my styling. I know it sounds weird but I have to give in.
Fun Fact: When I went to France and the UK this summer within two weeks I had 2 completely different sets of clothes in my suitcase even though the weather wouldn’t have changed much. But it’s like when I touch British soil I have the need to dress differently than when I’m in France, it’s weird. France brings out the classy, timeless lady in me and Britain lets me nurse my inner indie rock chick, alternative, I-don’t-care-if-it-matches attitude which I love because it gives me the opportunity to tend to both sides of my twisted fashion sense.
